Located in the former Przebendowski family palace (18th C), the Museum of Independence (Muzeum Niepodleglosci) tellingly replaced the Polish Workers'
Movement History Museum. The current exhibits cover the long history of the struggle for
national freedom from the Kosciuszko Uprising in 1794 until the fall of communism in 1989.
