Dating back to 1936, the 4 story tall Warsaw Historical Museum (Muzeum
Historyczne Warszawy) contains 60 rooms which host a permanent exhibition of the
history of Warsaw from its origins until today. Old, stylish interiors furnished as in the
past bring a picture of bygone Warsaw nearer to the visitor. A good place to visualize
(you can even see a film) the splendor of the city before it was almost completely
destroyed by the Nazis in 1944.
